  1. No...I haven't been to Germany.
  2. YEs, Ive been to Munich, Cologne, Hamburg, and found myself in a small town called Renchtal once (DONT ASK!!! LOL!!) Germans are very friendly people, but arent afraid of being brutally honest either. Sometimes they may seem rude to you, especially in the northern cities. Though Hamburg is an AWESOME town, and if you go in the summer, expect the sun to just be setting in the sky at 10pm. The Southern Germans are more laid back than their northern comrades. And the Autobahn is a lot of fun, just dont get stupid.
  3. nope
  4. Yes, I've been to Munich which was fabulous.... I'll have to say that I probably just lived on beer my entire trip as they have "Beer Gardens" at every turn. The only complaint I had was that the people were not the friendlist! That's probably why I drank so much :)
  5. I have never been to Germany.
  6. I never visited Germany but i always dream to live there
  7. I have never been there, but we're planning a trip for later this year perhaps. Would love to catch the Christmas Markets. I love the language, speak it pretty well. And the German friends I have (living here in the US and some in Germany) are not necessarily "unfriendly" but they're different from Americans. I think, as a whole, Americans are just more lively (read: loud) and pushier, in a good way. Oh, and there is some slang, and if you're serious about learning the slang, grab an idiom book. I picked up mine at Barnes and Nobles.
  8. yep! i moved to germany 3 years ago! the language is pretty easy to learn. what the germans call "slang" is more of a dialect, and it varies from village to village. at a party about 2 hours away, my boyfriend & his brother were talking in the slang from their town & the others weren't able to understand most of what they said. i think the people are generally friendly. they are people- some are some aren't, like everywhere else! i love it here!
