Is it possible to start my vacation from frankfurt with a french schengen visa?

I live in Istanbul, Turkey. I have a vacation plan in january for 10 days with an interrail pass. I want to start my trip from frankfurt. My route is: frankfurt-paris-brussels-amsterdam. I have a french schengen visa. Is it a problem to go to frankfurt first with a french schengen?

  1. As long as you have the "EU Schengen Visa" which comes under the "Schengen Agreement". The visa holder can use it to visit any country that comes under the european union & also those that use the Euro. The term Schengen Agreement is used for two international treaties concluded among certain European states in 1985 and 1990 dealing with cross-border legal arrangements and the abolition of systematic border controls among the participating countries. Since than many other Eastern European countries have also joined. + there's a good news for you, incase you ever visit Switzerland, the EU has recently added it to the list of countries you can visit with this visa. Just for the safe-side, call up the french or german embassy & inquire about it.
  2. If you hold a Schengen visa type C and it states "Etats Schengen" in the valid for column (first column) you may enter the Schengen area in Frankfurt and leave it in Amsterdam.
